Job Responsibilities

  • Craft the path to justice: Develop a comprehensive and results-oriented Africa strategy, identifying key human rights issues, analyzing regional dynamics, and unlocking strategic opportunities for impactful UN intervention.
  • Build a network of hope: Forge strong partnerships with Franciscan orders, NGOs, and grassroots movements across Africa. Empower local voices, share knowledge, and unite diverse stakeholders in a common fight for justice.
  • Raise the banner at the UN: Represent FI in crucial UN meetings, advocate directly to diplomats, and orchestrate powerful awareness campaigns that resonate on a global stage.
  • Become the region’s expert: Delve deep into the human rights landscape of Africa. Research complex issues, draft compelling reports, and advise UN bodies on effective solutions with nuanced, on-the-ground understanding.
  • Ignite a fire of change: Develop and deliver capacity-building programs, training workshops, and mentorship opportunities for local partners, equipping them with the skills and knowledge to advocate effectively for their communities.
